Our Mission
Violence and homicide in America is a pervasive problem. Our mission is to rid our society of this problem. According to the CDC, homicide is the leading cause of death for African American males between the age of 0-41. Violence is also an issue in domestic relationships for all groups of people. Violent acts are happening in the home, the workplace, and streets of the community. Why so much violence? There are many factors and identifiable reasons. For many researchers and commentators, economic inequities tend to shoot to the top of the list. Others may point to histories of abuse and oppression as the culprit for the pandemic of violence. But, for us, we believe that people lack the awareness, skills, and resources to express themselves in nonviolent ways. We believe that with awareness, training, and skill development people, regardless of their economic situation, can express themselves nonviolently and effectively. We want to bring awareness, skills, and resources to the whole family. From the students in schools to the employees of small and large corporations’ effective communication strategies are needed to foster a more peaceful working environment and society overall. From the corners of the street to the office space of a top floor suite, we bring life changing and lifesaving awareness, skills, and resources to all groups of people. We believe that America can be a safer and more peaceful society, even with our 2nd Amendment rights. We exist to make this dream a reality.
